# Supply Chain Agent with Istio & Auth0
A full-stack application demonstrating autonomous agent workflows for supply chain optimization, featuring a React frontend and Python FastAPI backend.

## 🚀 Quick Start
### Prerequisites
- Python 3.8+
- Node.js 16+
- npm or yarn
- Auth0 account (see AUTH0-SETUP.md)
### 1. Setup Virtual Environment
```bash
# Create and activate virtual environment
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
```
### 2. Auth0 Setup
1. Create an Auth0 account at https://auth0.com
2. Follow the instructions in [AUTH0-SETUP.md](AUTH0-SETUP.md) to configure your Application and API
3. Set environment variables in `supply-chain-ui/.env` and `backend/.env`
### 3. Backend Setup
Go checkout the backend README.md
The backend will be available at:
- **API**: http://localhost:8000
- **Interactive Docs**: http://localhost:8000/docs
- **ReDoc**: http://localhost:8000/redoc
### 4. Frontend Setup
```bash
# In a new terminal, install frontend dependencies
cd supply-chain-ui
npm install
# Copy environment template
cp env.template .env
# Start the React development server
npm start
```
The frontend will be available at:
- **App**: http://localhost:3050
## 🔐 Authentication
**Auth0 Integration:**
- See [AUTH0-SETUP.md](AUTH0-SETUP.md) for configuration
- Set `REACT_APP_AUTH0_DOMAIN` and `REACT_APP_AUTH0_CLIENT_ID` in the frontend
- Set `AUTH0_DOMAIN` in the backend

### Backend Development

### Adding New Features

## 🐛 Troubleshooting
### Common Issues
**Backend won't start:**
- Ensure virtual environment is activated
- Check if port 8000 is available
- Verify all dependencies are installed
**Frontend can't connect to backend:**
- Ensure backend is running on port 8000
- Check CORS configuration
- Verify API_BASE_URL in api.js
**Authentication fails:**
- Check backend logs for errors
- Verify JWT secret key
- Ensure user credentials are correct
### Logs
- **Backend**: Check terminal where `python run.py` is running
- **Frontend**: Check browser console and terminal
