# codebase-memory-mcp — offline package for opencode (Linux x86_64)
An **offline / air-gapped install bundle** of
[DeusData/codebase-memory-mcp](https://github.com/DeusData/codebase-memory-mcp)
**v0.8.1** (UI variant, Linux x86_64), repackaged for easy download onto a machine
that can't run the one-line installer.
The server is a **single static, zero-dependency binary** — no `npm`/`pip`, nothing
to compile. Copy the binary over and point opencode at it.
> Binaries are redistributed unmodified from the official v0.8.1 release; the
> upstream `LICENSE` and `THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md` are inside each tarball.
## Download
The binaries are attached to the **[latest Release](../../releases/latest)**.
**`.zip` is provided for networks that block `.tar.gz`** — both formats contain the
identical binary; pick whichever your network allows.
| File | When to use |
|------|-------------|
| `codebase-memory-mcp-ui-linux-amd64.zip` | **Primary.** Use this first. (`.tar.gz` also available.) |
| `codebase-memory-mcp-ui-linux-amd64-portable.zip` | **Fallback** — only if the primary fails with a `GLIBC_x.xx not found` error on an older Linux. |
SHA-256 sums are in [`checksums.txt`](checksums.txt).
## Install (short version)
```bash
# 1. extract (unzip; on Linux use 'unzip', or 'jar xf' / 'python3 -m zipfile -e' if unzip is missing)
mkdir -p ~/codebase-memory-mcp
unzip codebase-memory-mcp-ui-linux-amd64.zip -d ~/codebase-memory-mcp
chmod +x ~/codebase-memory-mcp/codebase-memory-mcp
# (if you got the .tar.gz instead:)
# tar -xzf codebase-memory-mcp-ui-linux-amd64.tar.gz -C ~/codebase-memory-mcp
# 2. test (should print help, not a GLIBC error)
~/codebase-memory-mcp/codebase-memory-mcp --help
```
Then add to `~/.config/opencode/opencode.json` (use your **real username** —
opencode does not expand `~`):
```json
{
"$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
"mcp": {
"codebase-memory": {
"type": "local",
"command": ["/home/YOUR_USER/codebase-memory-mcp/codebase-memory-mcp"],
"enabled": true
}
}
}
```
Restart opencode → the 14 tools (`index_repository`, `search_graph`, `trace_path`,
`semantic_query`, …) become available. Index a repo first, then query.
