# BeeOrder MCP Server
An MCP server that exposes BeeOrder food delivery data — restaurants, menus, and dish search — to Claude Desktop and other MCP clients.
BeeOrder operates in five Syrian cities: **Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartous, Homs**.

## Tools

| `update_data(city)` | Scrape fresh restaurants + menus from BeeOrder (first-time setup or refresh) |
| `get_db_status()` | Show cached restaurant/item counts and last update time |
| `list_restaurants(city, category, open_only)` | Browse restaurants filtered by city or cuisine |
| `get_menu(restaurant_id)` | Full menu for a restaurant, grouped by section |
| `search_dishes(query)` | Full-text search across all cached menu items |
| `get_categories(city)` | List available cuisine categories for a city |

## Installation
### Prerequisites
- Python 3.11+
- [uv](https://docs.astral.sh/uv/) (recommended) or pip
### Option A — uv (recommended)

Restart Claude Desktop after editing the config.

## First Use
After connecting, ask Claude to run:
> "Update BeeOrder data for Damascus"
This triggers `update_data("damascus")` which scrapes all restaurants and menus (~2–5 minutes for a full city). Data is cached locally in `data/beeorder.db` — subsequent queries are instant.
