# Toss Securities MCP

MCP server exposing the Toss Securities Open API as tools for Claude and other AI agents. Covers Korean stock market (KRX) quotes, holdings, order execution, and a session-aware technical-analysis dashboard (MACD/RSI/Bollinger/VWAP). Read-only by default; opt-in trading.
> **Warning: Real Trading**: Order execution tools may result in actual orders and financial transactions.
> Default is **read-only**; trading tools are enabled only when `TOSS_ENABLE_TRADING=true`.
## Capabilities
- **Market Data**: Current prices, bid/ask, trade history, candlestick charts, upper/lower limits
- **Stocks/Market**: Stock information, investment cautions, exchange rates, domestic/foreign market operating hours
- **Technical Analysis**: Indicator dashboard (moving averages/MACD/RSI/Bollinger Bands/ATR/OBV/MFI/etc.), intraday VWAP, news sentiment signals
- **Account/Inquiries**: Account list, holdings, order history, available cash, available quantity, fees
- **Order Execution** *(with trading enabled)*: Order creation/modification/cancellation
- **Workflow Prompts**: Portfolio analysis, chart analysis, pre-purchase checklist, and more
## Quick Start
1. Obtain `client_id`/`client_secret` from [Toss Securities OpenAPI Console](https://developers.tossinvest.com/docs)
2. Configure and run:
```bash
cp .env.example .env # fill in issued keys
uv sync
uv run tossinvest-mcp
```
All configurable values are listed in [`.env.example`](.env.example).
## Register with Claude Code
### Recommended: `uvx` (no installation/cloning required)
Run directly with `uvx`. Credentials are passed via `--env`, so no `.env` file is needed:

claude mcp add tossinvest \
--env TOSS_CLIENT_ID=issued_CLIENT_ID \
--env TOSS_CLIENT_SECRET=issued_CLIENT_SECRET \
-- uvx tossinvest-mcp
```
Add `--env TOSS_ENABLE_TRADING=true` to enable order execution.
### Local Checkout (for development)
Clone the repository and modify it. Credentials are set via `.env`:
```bash
claude mcp add tossinvest -- uv --directory /path/to/tossinvest-mcp run tossinvest-mcp
```
## Enable Trading
Default is safely **read-only**. To enable order execution, add to `.env`:
```bash
TOSS_ENABLE_TRADING=true
```
Enable only in trusted environments, as AI can execute actual trades.
## Testing
```bash
uv run pytest -m "not e2e"
```
