# 🎣 Fishing Game MCP Server
Based on tutusagi/ai-fishing-game MCP (Model Context Protocol) server implementation.
## Project Description
This is an MCP server for a text-based fishing game, allowing Claude to play the fishing game remotely via the MCP protocol.
## Features
- ✅ Complete fishing game engine
- ✅ MCP protocol support
- ✅ HTTP interface (suitable for deployment on platforms like Render)
- ✅ Persistent archiving
- ✅ Deterministic randomness (same seed produces same results)
## Local Testing
```bash
# Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
# Start HTTP server
python app.py
# Test health check
curl http://localhost:10000/health
```
## Deploy to Render
### Step 1: Prepare Git Repository
```bash
# Initialize Git in project directory
git init
git add .
git commit -m "Initial commit"
# Push to GitHub (create repository first)
git remote add origin https://github.com/your-username/fishing-mcp-server.git
git push -u origin main
```
### Step 2: Deploy on Render
1. Visit [Render.com](https://render.com)
2. Register/login account
3. Click "New +" → "Web Service"
4. Connect your GitHub repository
5. Configure as follows:
- **Name**: `fishing-mcp-server`
- **Runtime**: `Python 3`
- **Build Command**: `pip install -r requirements.txt`
- **Start Command**: `python app.py`
- **Plan**: Choose Free plan
6. Click "Create Web Service"
### Step 3: Get Server Address
After deployment, Render will provide an address, e.g.:
```
https://fishing-mcp-server-xxxx.onrender.com
```
## Connect to Claude Code
Add MCP server configuration in Claude Code:
1. Open `~/.claude/settings.json` (or use `/config` command)
2. Add MCP server configuration:
```json
{
"mcpServers": {
"fishing-game": {
"url": "https://your-render-address.onrender.com/mcp",
"transport": "http"
}
}
}
```
3. Restart Claude Code
