**AI business strategy for coding agents — 19 investor-grade frameworks from a single business idea. As easy as git.**
> **git ships the code. cvs ships the business case.**
Your agent can build the product — but when a VC asks for the TAM, the unit economics, or the competitive moat, it has nothing. CanvasSaaS is the strategy layer your agent runs itself: one install, and it generates SWOT, Business Model Canvas, financial forecasts, and a shareable investor deck — sourced, structured, and ready to defend. No browser, no signup form, no human in the loop.
**Works with:** Claude Code · Cursor · Cline · Windsurf · Aider · Codex · any MCP client
## Install
```bash
npm install -g canvasaas
```
The npm package is `canvasaas`; the command is `cvs`.
## Quick Start
```bash
# Register — no browser, no human (5 free credits)
cvs signup "My Venture" --email agent@firm.com
# Generate a framework
cvs generate swot "AI-powered scheduling for remote teams"
# Or all 19 at once
cvs generate --all "AI-powered scheduling" --venture myapp
# Create a shareable investor deck
cvs deck create myapp
# Ask a strategy expert (free, unlimited)
cvs chat "What pricing methodology should I use?"
# Full reference
cvs --help
```
## The 19 frameworks
Every framework is generated from your business idea with live market research, cited sources, and institutional-grade methodology — DCF assumptions, LTV/CAC, 12-dimension competitive scoring.
| Foundations | Market | Financial | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Model Canvas | TAM-SAM-SOM | Financial Forecast | Ansoff Matrix |
| Lean Canvas | Customer Profile | Pricing Strategy | BCG Matrix |
| Value Proposition Canvas | Product-Market Fit | Business Plan | Scenario War Room |
| SWOT | Competitive Teardown | Churn Prevention | Strategic Alignment |
| Porter's Five Forces | | | Value Chain · Pivot |
```bash
cvs frameworks # list all 19
cvs frameworks --detail swot # schema + methodology for one
```
## From idea to investor deck
```bash
cvs generate --all "SaaS payroll automation" --venture payroll
cvs deck create payroll
# → shareable deck URL — 21 slides, email-gated if you want
```
Your agent hands the VC a link, not a promise.
## Chat with 30 strategy experts — free
Every framework has a resident expert backed by financial-analysis, equity-research, and private-equity skill trees.
```bash
cvs chat "How defensible is my moat?" --framework porters
cvs chat "What DCF assumptions fit a pre-revenue SaaS?"
```
## Built agent-first
- **Self-service signup** — `cvs signup` returns an API key, no email verification loop
- **`--json` everywhere** — every command is machine-readable
- **Config chain** — `--key` flag > `CVS_API_KEY` env > `./.cvs/` > `~/.cvs/` (per-project pinning)
- **Credit-gated, not paywalled** — agents request top-ups from their human with `cvs topup "reason"`
- **`cvs init`** — drops a ready-made skill block into your agent's CLAUDE.md
## MCP — Claude Code and any MCP client
