# Tool List
[English](README.en.md) | [Project Website](https://90le.github.io/worker-rights-cn/)
An open-source rights assistant for ordinary workers in mainland China: organizing facts, evidence, amount estimates, and document drafts in plain Chinese. Codex is the standard entry point, and other hosts are thin adapters.
## Emergency and Safety Boundaries
If you are asked to sign immediately today, are receiving medical treatment for a work-related injury, are facing an arbitration deadline, or your safety is threatened: first preserve the original documents and timeline, do not sign any documents you do not understand, and contact local human resources departments, labor unions, or licensed lawyers promptly.
This project is not a lawyer, law firm, government service, or automated decision-making tool; it does not provide case-by-case representation, nor does it guarantee negotiation, arbitration, or litigation outcomes. All estimates and drafts require you to verify facts, local rules, and the latest sources.
## 30-Second Codex Start
1. Run `codex plugin marketplace add 90le/worker-rights-cn --ref main`. This only adds the marketplace source and does not directly install the plugin.
2. Run `codex plugin add worker-rights-cn@worker-rights-cn` to complete the installation.
3. Alternatively, restart/refresh the Codex/ChatGPT desktop client, select **Worker Rights CN** from the **Plugins** marketplace, and install.
After installation, you do not need to learn legal terminology first; just describe what happened.
### First Prompt
> I work in [City] and my company [what happened] today. Please distinguish between confirmed facts and information to be supplemented, tell me what not to do now, what to save today, and list possible rights and next steps. Do not save or upload my materials.
## What Can and Cannot Be Done
Can do: organize timelines and facts to be confirmed; remind of priority evidence to save; display compensation calculations and assumptions; review protocol risks; prepare communication, negotiation, and arbitration drafts; and provide sources and mark conclusions that require local confirmation.
Cannot do: sign, submit, upload, or contact third parties on your behalf; automatically save chat or case materials; represent lawyers, government, or any official agencies; or treat estimates as adjudication results.
## Four-Step Process
1. **Describe the situation**: explain what happened in your own words.
2. **Supplement information**: verify dates, wages, positions, notifications, and evidence.
3. **View suggestions**: review facts, estimates, sources, risks, and optional actions.
4. **You decide**: verify, then choose whether to save, export, or seek professional help.
## Five Common Scenarios
- **Company owes wages**: organize payment due, actual payment, payment dates, and communication records.
- **Sudden termination**: verify reasons, methods, time, and wage base.
- **Signing a protocol today**: check reasons for termination, amount, payment time, rights waiver, and breach clauses.
- **Incomplete overtime records**: verify attendance, scheduling, chat, email, access control, and work results.
- **Preparing for labor arbitration**: organize drafts by request, facts, evidence, and sources.
Examples are fictional and anonymized, not corresponding to any real individual or case.
## Privacy
- By default, no automatic saving, uploading, or external sending.
- When saving locally, specify the absolute path and scope of saving and obtain explicit consent.
- Before exporting, check personal information such as name, ID number, phone number, address, and bank account.
- See [Privacy Policy](PRIVACY.md) and [Privacy and Local Storage](docs/%E9%9A%90%E7%A7%81%E4%B8%8E%E6%9C%AC%E5%9C%B0%E5%AD%98%E5%82%A8.md) for details.
## Compatibility Matrix
| Host | Status | Skills | MCP Tools | Hooks | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Codex | Standard Entry | Supported | Supported | By Codex Interface | Main documentation and prompts based on this |
| Claude Code | Thin Adapter | Supported | Supported | Host Adaptation | Reuse the same business rules |
| OpenCode | Thin Adapter | Dependent on Host | Supported | Not Declared Equivalent | Only synchronize supported fields |
| OpenClaw | Thin Adapter | Supported | Dependent on Environment | Dependent on Environment | See [Adapter Instructions](plugins/worker-rights-cn/adapters/README.md) |
## Installation, Update, Uninstallation, and Data Retention
- **Installation**: add marketplace first, then run `codex plugin add worker-rights-cn@worker-rights-cn`; or refresh the desktop client and install from Plugins. Adding to marketplace is not an installation command.
- **Update**: run `codex plugin marketplace upgrade worker-rights-cn`, then refresh the desktop client and update or reinstall according to the interface prompts.
- **Uninstallation**: uninstall Worker Rights CN from Plugins. Uninstalling the plugin does not necessarily delete user data you explicitly saved.
- **Complete Removal**: confirm no need to export materials, then delete the `worker-rights-cn` directory in the host's data directory, and review directory, index, and associated audit records. This is an irreversible operation and must be confirmed.
