# Dokobot MCP Plugin
One-click configuration of Dokobot MCP server, allowing Astrbot to search the web through a real browser.
> **About Dokobot**: [Dokobot](https://dokobot.ai) is a tool that reads web pages through a real browser, developed by the Dokobot team. This plugin is an automatic configuration tool for its MCP integration.
## Features
- **Automatic Installation**: Automatically installs the `dokobot-mcp-server` npm package when the plugin loads (no manual operation required)
- **Automatic Configuration**: Automatically adds Dokobot configuration to `mcp_server.json`
- **Intelligent Search**: Automatically searches for the npm global installation directory
- **Status Check**: Use the `/dokobot status` command to view the configuration status
## Prerequisites
**Only requires manual installation by the user**:
1. Globally install [@dokobot/cli](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@dokobot/cli)
```bash
npm install -g @dokobot/cli
```
2. Install the Dokobot extension for Chrome or Edge browser
3. Local bridge installation
```bash
dokobot install-bridge
```
**The plugin will automatically complete**:
- ✓ Install `dokobot-mcp-server` npm package
- ✓ Find the `dokobot-mcp.js` file path
- ✓ Configure `mcp_server.json`
## Usage
1. Place the plugin folder in `~/.astrbot/data/plugins/`
2. Restart astrbot
3. The plugin will automatically download and configure (may take a few minutes for the first load)
4. Restart astrbot again to make MCP take effect
## Commands
- `/dokobot status` - View MCP configuration status and npm package installation status
## Working Principle
When the plugin `initialize()`, it will:
1. Run `npm install -g dokobot-mcp-server` to install the MCP server
2. Find the `dokobot-mcp.js` file in the npm global installation directory
3. Automatically write the configuration to `~/.astrbot/data/mcp_server.json`
## Troubleshooting
If the MCP tool is not available:
1. Run `/dokobot status` to check the installation and configuration status
2. Confirm that `@dokobot/cli` is globally installed: `npm list -g @dokobot/cli`
3. Confirm that the bridge is installed: `dokobot list`
4. Restart astrbot
If npm installation fails, you can manually install:
```bash
npm install -g dokobot-mcp-server
```
Then restart astrbot, and the plugin will automatically detect the installed package.
