`kmsg` is an unofficial KakaoTalk CLI and native MCP server for macOS.
It provides easy-to-use APIs to read, monitor, and send messages,
and structured outputs for local automation and AI agents.
> **Disclaimer**: `kmsg` is not an official tool of Kakao Corp.
> Users are responsible for complying with relevant laws, service terms, and company security policies in their own accounts and environments.
> Users are responsible for any account restrictions, malfunctions, data loss, or other damages caused by using this tool.
> For my personal judgment on why I used AX instead of LOCO Protocol and the possibility of account penalties, please refer to [Why not use LOCO Protocol of KakaoTalk?](ARCHITECTURE.md#accessibility-instead-of-a-private-protocol).

- Easy access permission for installed `kmsg` binary
## Installation
Recommended installation via Homebrew.
```bash
brew install channprj/tap/kmsg
```
For manual download and source build, refer to [USAGE.md](USAGE.md#installation).
## Quick Start
```bash
kmsg status
kmsg chats
kmsg read "Chat Room Name" --limit 20
kmsg send "Chat Room Name" "Hello" --dry-run
```
`kmsg status` requests easy access permission and checks login status if necessary.
The last command is a dry run and does not send an actual message.
