# The Scribble Thing agent skill

[](#install) [](LICENSE) Turn a PNG or JPEG line-art illustration into a hand-drawn scribe animation using [The Scribble Thing](https://scribble.boringstuff.club). The skill teaches compatible AI agents how to create, monitor, download, unlock, and delete animations through the public MCP server. Drawing-order instructions are optional, and users can choose whether the animation includes a drawing hand. No account is needed. A watermarked preview is free, and removing the watermark is optional. ## See it in action This animation was generated by The Scribble Thing from one static line-art image, with no manual timeline editing. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/bfbb6dd0-7847-4cad-9b1a-85ebfb083bb0 ## Install Install with the open Agent Skills CLI: ```sh npx skills add Boring-Stuff-Club/the-scribble-thing-skill --skill the-scribble-thing ``` Then ask your agent something like: > Turn this line-art image into a scribble animation. Draw the title first, > reveal the illustration from left to right, and show the drawing hand. Prefer a browser? [Create an animation on The Scribble Thing](https://scribble.boringstuff.club/#create). The service provides a free watermarked preview. Removing the watermark is a separate optional purchase. ## Privacy and security Animation IDs, capability tokens, and unlock codes are secrets. The skill tells agents not to place them in ordinary chat text, logs, analytics, filenames, or unrelated tools. Current retention, limits, terms, and pricing should always be queried from the service rather than assumed from this repository. See the current [privacy policy](https://scribble.boringstuff.club/privacy) and [terms](https://scribble.boringstuff.club/terms) before using the service. ## License The skill files in this repository are available under the [MIT License](LICENSE).
